Moving into Practice Supervision Groups
WHY? Starting out as a newly qualified creative arts therapist can feel lonely, nerve-wracking and/or overwhelming. These supervision groups are here to support you in the transition from training into professional practice, and to give you a supportive community along the journey.
WHAT? These are 6-session monthly online supervision groups (September to February) for newly qualified creative arts therapists. In each session we will use creative and embodied tools and reflective discussion to explore the following themes:
1. Hopes & desires for professional practice; reviewing your skills and strengths
2. Processing and learning from your clinical placement experiences
3. Landing your training experience – letting go and carrying forward
4. Different approaches to building a practice
5. Values, boundaries & navigating work spaces as a creative arts therapist
6. Self-care, intentions and next steps
Each session will also have space to address emerging concerns and queries around the practicalities of professional practice, such as HCPC/UKCP registration, insurance, contracts and agreements etc.
WHEN? Once a month for 1.5 hours, Thursday or Friday at 5-6:30pm.
The 2024-25 groups are now full. Please watch this space for 2025-26 openings.
WHO? Each group will have spaces for up to 6 supervisees.
WHERE? On zoom, from the comfort of your own home or other private and undisturbed space
HOW MUCH? £35 per person per session (£210 in total), paid up front or in three installments.
